These terms govern your access to and use of The Commons. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and [Legal entity name] (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”), the operator of The Commons (the “Service”), reachable at aiopshq.app. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
The Commons is currently offered as a Beta release while we build alongside early teams. You acknowledge and agree that:
We may change these Beta terms, or transition the Service out of Beta, including introducing paid plans, on notice to you. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
The Commons is a governed library for a team's AI assets — skills, context documents, prompts, guardrails, and templates — with versioning, approval workflows, semantic search, and AI-assisted quality controls. Access to certain capabilities depends on your assigned role (viewer, editor, or organization administrator) within your organization.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for safeguarding your login credentials and any access tokens issued to you or your organization's connected agents, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Organization administrators are responsible for managing their members, roles, and connected agents.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of the content you and your organization submit to the Service. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you, including running the AI-assisted and analytics features described below and in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to submit your content and for its lawful use.
The Service uses third-party AI models to provide features such as quality pre-flight scoring, approval briefs, semantic search, the “Ask the Commons” question-answering feature, and digests. All AI output is advisory only: the Service never auto-approves, auto- publishes, or auto-edits content, and a human always makes the final decision. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.
The Service analyzes (a) questions you submit to the “Ask the Commons” feature and (b) — only where your organization has enabled the feature and you have opted in — prompts you submit in Claude Code or Cowork, in order to identify generalized, anonymized themes of unmet need for your organization's administrators. This analysis is performed as described in the “Content Gap Detection” section of our Privacy Policy, including its safeguards on filtering, short-term retention, anonymization, and minimum-group-size thresholds. By using the “Ask the Commons” feature you acknowledge that the questions you submit to it are analyzed for this purpose regardless of any Claude Code / Cowork opt-in setting. Administrators do not receive the text of any individual prompt or question.
We record non-identifying product analytics about how the Service is used so we can understand and improve it. As described in our Privacy Policy, these analytics are configured to avoid capturing the content of your library, your questions, or free-text you enter, and they identify you only by an internal account identifier rather than by name or email. Your use of the Service constitutes acceptance of this analytics collection.
The Service is currently free to use during Beta. We will give notice before introducing any fees, and continued use after paid plans take effect will be subject to the applicable pricing and any additional terms presented at that time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100). Because the Service is provided free during Beta, you acknowledge this cap may be zero. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain of these limitations, so some may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing-law jurisdiction — e.g. the State of Delaware, USA], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where prohibited by applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where required. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
